PROGRAMME ASSOCIATE – HEALTH, WASH & COMMUNITY WELL-BEING

Role Description
The Programme Associate – Health, WASH & Community Well-being will lead TEDA’s community health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), sexual and reproductive health, mental well-being, and community resilience initiatives. The role will support vulnerable communities to access information, services, and interventions that contribute to healthier and more resilient lives.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

• SRHR Outreach: Design and coordinate Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) awareness initiatives, including interventions addressing teenage pregnancy and related vulnerabilities.
• WASH Campaigns: Develop community-led initiatives promoting safe water, sanitation, hygiene, disease prevention, and improved community health practices.
• Malaria Prevention: Support community awareness and prevention initiatives targeting malaria and other preventable health challenges.
• Mental Health Frameworks: Develop youth-friendly awareness campaigns, peer-support networks, and dialogue sessions addressing mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and psychosocial well-being.
• Community Health Partnerships: Build partnerships with health facilities, health professionals, local authorities, and development organizations to strengthen TEDA’s health interventions.
• Emergency Response Mapping: Support the identification and mapping of vulnerable communities and coordinate with relevant partners during health, environmental, or other community emergencies.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL PROGRAMME ASSOCIATES

All Programme Associates are expected to:

• Develop annual and quarterly activity plans for their respective thematic areas.
• Identify strategic partners and opportunities for collaboration.
• Contribute to concept notes, proposals, fundraising initiatives, and project development.
• Coordinate implementation of approved activities within their thematic areas.
• Maintain proper documentation of activities, beneficiaries, partnerships, and results.
• Contribute to TEDA’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, and reporting systems.
• Produce regular progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations.
• Represent TEDA professionally when engaging partners, communities, institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Promote safeguarding, accountability, inclusion, and ethical standards in all TEDA activities.
• Work collaboratively with other Programme Associates, District Representatives, Brand Ambassadors, and TEDA leadership.
