PROGRAMME ASSOCIATE – EDUCATION, MENTORSHIP & LEADERSHIP

Role Description

The Programme Associate – Education, Mentorship & Leadership will serve as the strategic architect of TEDA’s education interventions, mentorship initiatives, and youth leadership development programs. The role focuses on expanding access to education, supporting vulnerable learners, reducing school dropout, and developing the next generation of ethical and responsible leaders.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

• Scholarship Management: Design and oversee transparent frameworks for identifying and selecting brilliant but vulnerable learners for TEDA scholarship and education-support programs.
• Retention Strategies: Develop and implement community sensitization and engagement initiatives aimed at reducing school dropout and improving educational retention.
• Elite Mentorship Tours: Plan and coordinate structured school mentorship visits, career guidance sessions, leadership masterclasses, and student engagement activities.
• Leadership Development: Develop mentorship and leadership programs that equip young people with skills in leadership, personal development, career planning, and community service.
• Impact Tracking: Maintain systems for tracking the academic progress, retention, transition, and career development of TEDA education beneficiaries.
• Partnership Development: Build relationships with schools, universities, education institutions, professionals, and potential education-support partners.
• GENERAL EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL PROGRAMME ASSOCIATESAll Programme Associates are expected to:
  • Develop annual and quarterly activity plans for their respective thematic areas.
  • Identify strategic partners and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Contribute to concept notes, proposals, fundraising initiatives, and project development.
  • Coordinate implementation of approved activities within their thematic areas.
  • Maintain proper documentation of activities, beneficiaries, partnerships, and results.
  • Contribute to TEDA’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, and reporting systems.
  • Produce regular progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations.
  • Represent TEDA professionally when engaging partners, communities, institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote safeguarding, accountability, inclusion, and ethical standards in all TEDA activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other Programme Associates, District Representatives, Brand Ambassadors, and TEDA leadership.
